🐕 **Mylo Update!** 🐕
As promised we said that we would keep our supporters in the loop regarding a very special little character... a JRT called Mylo!
You may recall Mylo was re-homed twice from St Francis and ended up being the very last dog at the home before we temporarily closed. As the only dog left at the home, it was in Mylo's best interest (regards to his welfare) for him to be placed in another home.
We have been really lucky to have been able to enlist the help of several supportive dog rescue organisations who have helped us with a number of returned dogs since we temporarily closed.
One of these is K9 Focus based in Torrington, Devon who have supported us by taking several of our returned dogs. K9 Focus also welcomed little Mylo and have worked with his minor issues, building up a fantastic relationship with him.
We are super pleased to announce that Mylo is currently settling in his new home! We couldn’t be happier for Mylo! We cannot thank Lynne Hall and her team enough for all of the support they have given Mylo. Check out the video of our clever boy! ❤️❤️
Here is some information about this fantastic Charity. K9 Focus was set up in August 2010 by Lynne and Nick Hall and obtained charitable status in July 2011.
The dedication and tireless work of the Charity was recognised in 2015 when they were awarded the prestigious National PetPlan Charity Team of the Year at the Annual Association of Dogs and Cats Home awards in Birmingham and they were finalists again in 2019. K9 focus has a partnership scheme with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
As a Charity St Francis must still meet its charitable objectives whilst we are temporarily closed and one way we can do this is to support other like minded Charities financially. One of our chosen Charities is K9 Focus. Here is what Lynne Hall, Founder & Trustee of K9 Focus has said about our new collaboration.
‘The financial support St Francis Dogs Home have offered K9 Focus over the coming months while they are rebuilding their onsite facilities is going to be a huge help to us due to the implications of Covid-19. We are thrilled to be working with St. Francis Dogs Home, a long established Rescue Centre and we are really excited that this collaboration is the start of a long term working partnership, which can only benefit many more dogs in the future both in Cornwall and Devon’
