Beautiful Alaska is a 3 year old Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute cross.
She has been brought into the Centre as she has struggled a little since the arrival of a new baby in the home and she can be quite a sensitive lady. She likes being around gentle children who are old enough to engage with her properly but little ones she struggles to cope around. Alaska would best suit older children, if any, and people with a nice gentle quiet household.
Alaska has a history of being worried around men and she has certainly shown this at the Centre so she would best suit a home where any male residents are kind and gentle and perhaps prepared to visit quite a few times so that she is used to them before she goes home.
Being the breed type that she is, she would be best suited to having her walks ON a lead but with a nice secure garden for scampers and playtimes. Sadly she is not suitable to live with cats or other small furries but might be able to live with another calm, well matched adult dog. Ideally this dog would be a male rather than a female. Equally, a home as an only dog could work for her too.
Alaska will need a new owner who is able to walk her regularly and be around most of the time as she absolutely craves human company.
