Ebony is a sweet and friendly girlie, who arrived at St. Francis as a stray. Unfortunately we have no history on Ebony, but she has has shown herself to be a loving and happy dog and she is ready to find her forever home!
It has been estimated that Ebony is approximately 7 years old. She is full of energy and loves her long walks and off-lead runs. Her personality is very typical of a lurcher, she is a very loving and gentle dog and she craves attention from her human friends. She would be suitable to live in a home with older children, where she won’t have to be left alone for too long.
Like many lurchers Ebony has shown herself to have a chase-drive and so would not be suitable to live with any small animals and cats. Because of this she will also need on-lead management on her walks because if she sees something small and furry she will chase it and could potentially get herself into trouble. Being on lead is no problem for Ebony because she walks lovely on the lead, almost right by your side. On her walks he may look to chase the odd large vehicle but she can be easily distracted with some treats.
She has met a few dogs here at the centre and has been very friendly to all. She could possibly live with another dog, if they are well suited and get on well after introductions at the centre.
Ideally Ebony will need a secure garden so that she can have off-lead exercise and play. Otherwise she would be happy to visit secure dog walking fields so she can stretch her legs and have a good run.
