We are appealing for a very special home for Jelly, our middle aged terrier who arrived with us as a stray, in a very poor condition. Sadly we don’t have any history on Jelly, but it is possible that she may have been straying for some time
Jelly is a very sweet, but anxious girl who is very vocal on her walks. She will bark at a lot of things, and it is almost like she forgets that she is doing it. Because she is highly vocal she will be best placed in a quiet location, where she will not upset people’s neighbours. Jelly will thrive in an understanding and patient home that understands that despite her vocal nature that she is a highly sensitive girl who just wants love and attention. We are hoping that over time Jelly will realise that she doesn’t have to be so alert to her surroundings and that she can relax in a home where she feels safe and secure.
Jelly will need owners who are home a lot as she shows signs of separation anxiety and she is not suitable to live with other pets. Jelly is vocal to dogs, even when they are at a distance and whilst this may improve over time new owners should be prepared to walk her in quiet areas, where she can enjoy herself without constantly being on edge. Jelly loves walking in fields where there are lots of scents and this is when her true terrier nature shines through.
Jelly would benefit from a fully secure garden and could live with teenagers upwards. Because Jelly can become stressed easily we are looking for a calm and quiet home without too much hustle and bustle. If you are interested in offering Jelly a home please apply here.
