Oscar is a very busy 8 month old Cocker/Springer spaniel cross. He has been brought into the Centre due to genuine reasons by his previous owner and has been a very much loved lad.
As is typical with all spaniels, he loves to have something in his mouth and will need new owners who are happy, when needed, to reward him positively when he has released a special item for you.
Oscar has two personalities. On the one hand he is a busy busy boy who can be strong on the lead and will need a little training in this area. On the other hand he can also be quite a sensitive lad too but with a very gentle nature.
He would be best suited to a home with older children (10yrs+), if any, and ideally with new owner who have experience of busy gun dog types. A new owner who is at home with him a lot of the time would also be great as he is only young and a secure garden area where he can play fetch and some more fetch and even some more inbetween his normal daily walks.
Oscar is a typical spaniel who likes to roll in things, the dirtier the better and will need a new owner who can manage to look after his coat and keep him tangle free.
We do not know how Oscar is with cats but he has shown himself to be very playful and social with other dogs and could be rehomed either as an only dog, or as a companion to a steady calm adult dog.
We don’t think Oscar will be waiting long.
