Pups – The Superstar
Pups has been with us for many months now just waiting for the day when the time was right for us to find him his new home.
When he arrived with us he was in a bit of a poorly state. He had sores on his legs where he had been damaging himself. He was underweight and he really then struggled to adjust to kennel life.
But he did adjust and after many months of getting to know him and addressing not only his physical needs, but also his emotional needs, today is the day that we are pleased to say that Pups, our little superstar, is ready to find his new home.
Pups is between 5-6 years old as far as we can ascertain but there is so much about him that acts younger than this. Sadly, from what we know, this is not Pups first experience with rescue (not through us) so we are determined to find the right place for this handsome chap.
He could possibly live with a steady female dog but he has had bad experiences around other dogs so isn’t always consistent with them. We would equally be happy if he was rehomed as the only pet. He has been attacked a couple of times so this makes him initially cautious around them but if they are social with him, he is social with them. He is getting better with each positive experience he is offered. This is still a work in progress. He has been muzzle trained at the Centre and wears it well so a new owner would need to carry on this for him should he struggle around other dogs. He is not compatible with cats or for living with children, an adult only home would suit him best but with the right owner, visiting teenage children would probably be ok.
Pups has been a delight to see flourish with some extra TLC – now it would be great to see him heading to his new home.
