st francis dogs home 9 - Volunteer

Joining our team as a Volunteer can be a very rewarding experience.  We are such a small team that the more volunteers we have, then the more happy times we can provide for the dogs who are currently living in a kennel situation which, for most, is a very alien environment.

When you join with us as a volunteer you will find that the work is so very rewarding but it is physical in its nature and does mean that you are working outside a lot in all weathers.  Your main roles would include walking the dogs in our exercise fields, helping us to feed and clean in the kennels and supporting the team in other requests as they come up.  No two days are ever the same!

Once you have volunteered with us for a little while, and we have had a chance to get to know you, then we may well enlist you to help us at Fundraising Events, to perhaps take a needy dog home for a little break or to help us out with some administration tasks.  There are plenty of opportunities to do so much more for us.

The St Francis family is a small one, but we simply couldn’t operate as we do without our wonderful volunteers so if you are looking to do something with your spare time, are over 16 years old and can help out between 08.30am – 11.30am or 1.30pm – 5.00pm, we would love you to apply to join us.

You will not only be helping dogs in need but you might also make some new friends along the way too. Please contact us for further information.
