StFrancis Students 1 - Students & Work Experience

Students & Work Experience

St Francis Dogs Home thrives on helping college students and others with work experience placements.  As a small team we value the opportunity to give something back when we can.

If you are looking for a placement for your work experience then we can offer a first hand view on working with dogs in a rescue environment.  This kind of work is fairly routine in nature in that the basics have to be done such as feeding, cleaning and walking the dogs in our care.  But at the same time it is a very rewarding experience to get a feel for animal welfare in real life case situations.

Sadly, due to volume of work involved which is unsupervised in nature, we cannot accommodate students under the age of 16 years old but we are proud that we have a steady flow of students throughout the year carrying out further education through diploma or degree courses in an animal related field.

If you are looking for a placement and are interested in completing this at St Francis Dogs Home then please contact us to discuss your needs or ask your college to do so and if we can accommodate your request, we will do our very best to do so.
